Pre-Training Conversations

Provide the MB team with more context about your unique organizational context and needs.
Begin to discuss implementation and evaluation plans.
Begin any formal documentation for MB training, select training dates, and introduce MB to staff to prepare for training (disseminate information about MB, host optional MB Town Hall).

Begin registering all participating trainees to their training event, starting with having trainees complete a brief Readiness Survey.
All registrants complete self-led online training module (MB Introduction Course)
Complete two-day (3hr each) live, virtual Mothers and Babies training.
Finalizing implementation and evaluation plans.

Trainees complete Training Evaluation Survey.
Implementers begin introducing and implementing MB with parent clients, with the goal to implement MB with 1-2 families or 1 MB Group.
Implementers begin monthly MB consultations with the Northwestern University MB team to support first implementation year.
Supervisors attend quarterly Supervisor Consultations.
Implementing programs begin collecting Deidentified Client Data with parent clients receiving MB.

Complete annual Implementation Evaluation Survey.
Submit the annual the Deidentified Client Data collected to the NU MB team.
- Implementing programs will be sent Implementation Evaluation Surveys and submit Deidentified Client Data on an annual basis for three years following their training.
The NU MB team evaluate key takeaways from data and integrate feedback into the next year of implementation.
Implementers meeting all MB Training and Implementation requirements are awarded their official MB Facilitator Certificate and are eligible to be trained as MB Trainers (to train others in their program to implement MB).
- All MB certificates (Facilitator and Trainer) are valid for 3 years before refresher training/recertification is needed.
